and injured another one near a lake in Indori village at Barhai forest range near here, an official said.
The victim, Sukhalal Gwara (55), a resident of Indori village, who had taken his cattle for grazing near the lake, was mauled to death by the wild boar, Barhai Deputy Ranger M L Mishra said.
He said after the boar attacked Gwara, the latter raised an alarm, following which Bhaulal Bisen (50), came to his rescue, but was injured by the animal.
Mishra said they have provided a financial help of Rs 10,000 to the family members of the deceased immediately for his cremation.
