Man killed in bomb explosion

A man was killed when a bomb he was shifting exploded in South 24 Parganas district, police said today.
Jagdish Mondal of Basanti area was shifting bombs from his house to another place when one of the bombs exploded late last night, police said.
Mondal was rushed to Basani Block Hospital in a serious condition and later succumbed to his injuries, they said, adding that police later seized some bombs from Mondal's house.
Local people alleged that Mondal was a Trinamool Congress supporter.
