The incident occured after one Meraj (30) eve teased the 16-year-old daughter of the deceased Haji Mohd Idrees (45), a resident of Rehmatnagar, which led to a clash between members of the two families, ASP Mohd Imran said.
Idrees sustained fatal injuries during the clash, after which he was taken to a private hospital in Meerut, where he passed away during medical treatment.
The ASP said, Meraj along with his two brothers Mumtaz(28) and Imtiaz (25), were arrested and cases of eve teasing and murder have been registered against them.
