Jaihind Maurya, who was having an affair with a girl living in his neighbourhood, barged into her house yesterday and shot her, police said.
He later went to his place and shot himself too, they said.
The girl was rushed to a hospital from where he was referred to BHU hospital in Varanasi but she succumbed to injuries, police said, adding the bodies have been sent for post mortem examination.
