Man kills daughter, 7, after dowry dispute with wife

A man has been arrested in Kairana town of the neighbouring Shamli district for allegedly killing his seven-year-old daughter over a dowry dispute with his wife, police said today.

Imran and his brothers have been booked for poisoning to death the girl, Circle Officer Rajesh Kumar Tiwari said.

They were arrested after Imran's wife, who was living with her parents, filed a police complaint against her husband and his two brothers, Tiwari added.
