A 28-year-old woman was murdered in an auto rickshaw allegedly by her husband in suburban Goregaon, the police said today.
Police have arrested the accused, identified as Prasad Rawat, in connection with the crime that occurred last night.
According to the police, an old marital dispute between Rawat and the deceased Geeta Dubey was the trigger.
Dubey was returning in the rickshaw after shopping, when Rawat allegedly stabbed her to death using a kitchen knife, an officer said.
Rawat has been booked under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC, he said.
A case has been registered at the Goregaon police station.
The couple had been married for the last four years and has two children, police said.
