Man murders step-brother over land dispute

A dispute over partition of land today claimed the life of a man after his step-brother stabbed him and his mother, police said.
A farmer of Attur, having two wives, had decided to partition his land among his two sons and two daughters.
However following a quarrel, the man's son from his first wife stabbed his second wife and her son who died, police said.
The second wife was injured and admitted to hospital.
Police are on the lookout for the assailant, who has been arrrested earlier for stealing two-wheelers.
