The accused, identified as Mohan Lal, had been enjoying VVIP treatment for the last two days, visited certain offices of the airport building and even held meeting with officials on the pretext of surprise check, said SHO of Rajasansi Airport Police Station Mohan Singh.
Suspicion arose when he started seeking certain classified information following which he was arrested, police said, adding the accused, who had been living in Amritsar for the past few years, is being interrogated about the motive of his visit to the airport.
Mohan Lal had told the airport officials that he came from Tamil Nadu for surprise check of airport arrangements for passengers, police said.
