A confectionery owner was allegedly robbed by four armed assailants on the pretext of buying a sweet dish, police said here today.
Naresh Sharma, who owns a sweet shop near Mandolla bus stand, told police yesterday that when he was to shut his shop at around 10pm on Tuesday, four youth in a car arrived at his shop and robbed him.
"Two of them got off the car and asked Sharma that they wanted to buy rasgulla. When Naresh was busy in preparing sweet pack, the duo put a gun on his head and robbed Rs 15000 from him," a senior police officer said.
