According to the police, Garibdas, a resident of Sehatpur Palla in the district, was employed as a gardener at the Vatika Tower in Sarai Khwaja. Deepak, the son of the gardener, had gone to pay a visit to his father in the afternoon.
Deepak told the police that he saw a truck parked near the spot where Garibdas was cutting grass. Subsequently, he saw the driver of the truck approaching the vehicle. He raised an alarm that his father was cutting grass right in front of the vehicle but the driver did not hear him and run over his father, killing him on the spot.
A case was registered on the basis of a complaint from Deepak and the truck was seized, the police said.
