Man's body exhumed a year after burial

The body of a man was exhumed here today by Udhamsingh Nagar district police, a year after his burial to find out if he was murdered.
The body of Shailesh Massey was exhumed in compliance with a court order as the man had died under mysterious circumstances a year ago with his father suspecting that he was poisoned to death by his wife in collusion with his in-laws, SSP Nilesh Anand Bharne said.
However, Massey who died on June 14 last year was buried without a post mortem, he said.
When Massey's father approached a local court alleging that his son's wife Sarita and her relatives had conspired to poison him to death the court issued an order asking the police to exhume his body and find out the circumstances leading to his death.

Massey's body was dug up in the presence of SDM Tirath Pal and DSP Rajiv on the directive of the District Magistrate in compliance with the court order in this regard.
The human cell of the district police is investigating the case.
