Additional District and Sessions Judge for Hilsa R C Malviya of Nalanda district held Anil Manjhi of Bisaibigha village guilty of the crime and ordered that he be hanged to death.
Two-year-old Indrajeet had disappeared from the same village on October 19 and his father Ravindra Ravidas had filed an FIR accusing Manjhi for it.
Three days after he went missing, the boy's body was recovered from a well in the village.
The police had subsequently launched an investigation and found evidences against Manjhi, who used to indulge in occult practices, for the death.
