Man sentenced to eight years imprisonment for dacoity

A local court sentenced a man to eight years in prison for committing dacoity along with his aides.
Additional Sessions Judge Ravindra Singh yesterday heard the parties and sentenced the prime accused Karua to eight years in prison.
The incident occurred on the intervening night of May 14-15, 2007 near Pachhi in Patna district, when a gang of armed robbers intercepted the car of Rajneesh, who was returning from a wedding in Ganeshpur. The suspects took away cash and a licensed revolver from the two victims.
Later, Kotwali Jalesar police arrested Karua in this connection.
