Man sentenced to life for murder of woman

A local court today sentenced a man to life for the murder of a 65-year-old woman last year.
The District and Sessions judge also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on Satwinder Singh.
Karamjit Kaur, wife of Gurmail Singh, a retired revenue official living in Dadheri village near Mandi Gobindgarh here, was murdered in November 2012.
Police arrested Satwinder, a neighbour of the victim, in connection with the murder.
