Man shoots himself dead in nursery school near Eiffel Tower

A man in his 60s shot himself dead with a sawn-off shotgun today in the hall of a Paris nursery school near the Eiffel Tower, in front of about a dozen children and an adult, police said.
The man, who was not affiliated with the school, killed himself after walking into the institution in central Paris.
The identity of the man or his motive were not immediately clear, police said.
The nursery school is a private Catholic institution which also has primary and secondary sections. A psychological support team has been sent to the school.
