Man shot at by wife's paramour

A man was shot at today by his wife's paramour in Surajpur area here, police said.
Police said the victim's wife had an illegitimate relation with another man and they eloped a few days ago.
Today the victim saw his wife with her paramour in Surajpur area and confronted them, they said.
During the confrontation, the paramour pulled out a pistol and shot at the man. He was rushed to a hospital where his condition was stated to be critical, police said.
Both the wife and the paramour fled the spot after the incident, police said, adding that a manhunt had been launched for them.
