Man shot at over argument

A 29-year-old powerloom
worker was allegedly shot at in Bhiwandi in the district in the early hours today, Thane police said.
The incident took place in Mumtaj Nagar locality in Bhiwandi around 1.30 am today when the victim Anish Ansari was injured after being shot at by one Yunus, Police Inspector Vjay Deshmukh of Shantinagar police station said.
According to police, the victim had got into an argument with the brother of the accused three days back.
"The accused later approached the victim with a proposal to settle the issue for which Anish was not ready. Enraged over the refusal for a settlement, Yunus, who was accompanied by two others came to the house of the victim Anish Ansari, and fired at him with a country-made weapon," Deshmukh said.

He was rushed to the local hospital, from where he was referred to J J Hospital in Mumbai.
A search has been launched to nab the absconding accused. They have been charged under section 307 ( Attempt to murder) of the IPC and Arms Act, he said.
