Man shot dead by chain snatchers

A man was shot dead by two chain snatchers when he tried to stop them from fleeing with a woman's gold chain, police said today.
The incident happened last night when Inderjeet Singh (40) was allegedly shot at by one of the chain snatchers.
Sarita, a resident of Shastri Nagar area, was returning when the two motorcycle-borne youths snatched her chain.
A case has been registered against the two youths and a search is on for them, police said.
