Man stabbed to death by armed robbers

A man was allegedly stabbed to death when he tried to stop three armed miscreants from fleeing after looting his neighbour in Om Enclave area here, police said today.
The incident took place last evening when Triveni, a resident of Om Enclave area, was returning home from work on his motorcycle, police said.
When he reached near his house, three motorcycle-borne youths rammed into his bike causing him to stop and one of the accused then took out his keys, while the other brandished a gun to his forehead. The third accused then took out his wallet, police added.
When Triveni raised an alarm, his neighbour Dhanesh came out of his house, which led the accused to flee. When the two tried chasing them, they stabbed Dhanesh with a knife in the head and waist.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds, they said.
A case of murder and loot has been registered against the three accused, police said, adding further investigations are on.
