Man succumbs to injuries n bear attack

: Two days after his wife died in a bear attack at Thottamkokkai in Nilgiris district, her husband succumbed to injuries inflicted by it at the Government Hospital here today, police said.
The man was admitted to the hospital along with his son and died without responding to treatment. The son is still under treatment.
The bear was shot dead in a joint operation by police and forest department officals yesterday.
Meanwhile, on information by villagers that a female bear was spotted moving around the village, forest department officials said they had placed cages at three places in around Thottamokkai, near Kothagirir.
