Ram Prakash Sharma came to the office of SDM Shiv Dayal along with his wife Saroj (62) and sprinkled petrol, he was carrying with him, on three of them and tried to set fire, they said.
However, the SDM's staff overpowered him, police said, adding that a case has been registered in this connection.
According to officials, Sharma has a property dispute with his family members and had moved an application before the SDM.
