Alok Srivastava (33) was arrested from a eunuchs' base in Nandlalpura area here. He lived under the name 'Palak', Tukoganj police station in-charge Dilip Singh Choudhary said.
Police had arrested Srivastava in 2008 for stealing jewellery from a showroom in Tukoganj area. Later he jumped the bail and disappeared, Choudhary said.
A local court had issued a permanent arrest warrant against him.
Chaudhary said police found about his new identity after questioning his mother and tracked him down after searching for ten days various bases of eunuchs in the city.
