A probe is going on in the matter, Syana Rambharat Tiwari, the Sub Divisional Magistrate of the area under which the school falls, said.
The victim studying in class IX was allegedly found absent from mess during dinner time at the boarding school yesterday, after which her classmates went looking for her on the premises.
She was found lying unconscious outside the school premises where some civil extension work was going on.
The victim, according to the students, alleged that she was raped by a private contractor who was supervising the construction work, after which they informed the police about the incident.
The principal of the school denied the incident, but said he had scolded the girl for coming late to the mess.
