"Dum Laga Ke Haisha" chronicled the love story between an overweight girl (Bhumi) and a small town simpleton boy, played by Ayushmann
When asked if "Manmarziyan" will have the same magical chemistry, Khurrana told PTI, " We are so different in this one. I am not a simpleton, Bhumi is not fat. We are in totally different avatars. The film and the milieu is different. But I am sure the magic will be there."
The project is produced by "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" director Aanand L Rai.
The "Vicky Donor" star, who has earlier lent his voice to popular songs like "Paani Da Rang", "Sadi Gali" and "Mitti Di Khushboo", said if given a chance he would love to sing in the upcoming Punjab-set love story.
"I don't know, we have to lock our songs first or start the shooting first. But I would love to sing for 'Manmarziyan'. In 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', it was a deliberate effort not to sing because that character was not suited to sing," he said.
