Masoor, urad move up on tight supply

Prices of masoor and urad rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today following tight supplies from producing regions against increased demand.
Marketmen said tight supplies in the face of increased demand from retailers mainly led to the rise in masoor and urad prices.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold prices rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,800-5,950 and Rs 5,800-6,000 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 6,850-6,950 and Rs 6,950-7,050 per quintal, respectively.
Urad and its dal chilka local also moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,250-5,950 and Rs 6,350-6,550 per quintal, respectively. Urad dal best quality and dhoya also enquired higher by similar margin to Rs 6,550-7,150 and Rs 6,950-7,350 per quintal, respectively.
