Math donates 2 million dollars to Philippines

Mata Amritanandamayi Math will donate two million dollars relief and rehabilitation package for the people affected by the recent destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan in Philippines.
Half of the donation will go as cash while the rest will be spent for children's education, a press release said here today, adding that the package would be sent Mata Amritanandamayi Center in California.
"I was greatly distressed to hear about this devastation, which took the lives of so many innocent people in the Philippines, and added an immense burden to those who were already living in poverty," said spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, currently on a tour of America.
