Maurya new ED (security) of Air India
Maurya, a 1990-batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre, was till now serving as Inspector General in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) here.
The post was lying vacant for some months following the repatriation of IPS officer S C Mathur to Maharashtra.
Maurya, who will take over tomorrow, will hold the post for a period of two years.
The ED (Security) of the national carrier is mandated to take care of various security needs of the airline.
Besides serving in various capacities in Uttar Pradesh Police, Maurya has also worked in another paramilitary Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at its headquarters here.
