In Punjab, Amritsar witnessed rainfall of 39 mm while mercury settled at 28.8 deg C, dipping by five degrees below normal, MeT office said here.
Patiala also had rainfall of 9.8 mm with maximum at 33.6 deg C and Ludhiana recorded maximum at 32.8 deg C.
In Haryana, Ambala received rainfall of 46.9 mm while mercury settled at 32.8 deg C. Karnal and Hisar had a rainfall of 24.4 mm and 26.5 mm and recorded maximum at 33 deg C and 34.5 deg C respectively.
MeT in its forecast said moderate to heavy rain may lash few places in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours.
