With muggy weather conditions prevailing in the city, Union Territory Chandigarh recorded the maximum temperature at 33.9 deg C, two degrees above the normal, a MeT department report said here today.
The city recorded rainfall of 0.3 mm in the past 24 hours.
In Haryana, Ambala and Bhiwani recorded maximum temperatures of 34.9 deg C and 36.6 deg C, respectively, two degrees above the normal.
Hisar, Karnal and Narnaul recorded rainfall at 9.1 mm, 4.2 mm and 5 mm, respectively. Their maximum temperatures settled at 36.5 deg C, 35 deg C and 33.5 deg C, respectively.
The MeT Department has predicted light to moderate rains at few places in Punjab and Haryana in the next 24 hours.
