Max temperatures stay below normal in Punjab, Haryana
Press Trust of India Chandigarh Maximum temperatures today stayed below normal levels in most parts of Punjab and Haryana as rain lashed various places in the two states.
Union Territory of Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 38.1 degrees C, one degree below normal and the city witnessed rainfall of 0.1 mm, MeT department said.
In Haryana, Ambala and Hisar recorded maximum temperatures of 38.1 degrees C and 37.5 degrees C, one degree below normal and rainfall of 2 mm and 11 mm, respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 38.2 degrees C, 39.5 degrees C and 38 degrees C respectively.
MeT forecast said rain or thunder storms may occur at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours.
