Maxm temperatures hover around normal in Haryana, Punjab
Press Trust of India Chandigarh The maximum temperatures in Haryana and Punjab today continued to hover around the normal level as Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 36.7 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
According to MeT office, Hisar recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees C, which was within the normal range while Karnal registered a high of 37 degrees C, down one degree C and Narnaul at a high of 38 degrees C which was two notches below normal.
Ludhiana in Punjab also recorded below normal maximum of 37.6 degrees C while Patiala's maximum temperature settled at 37.4 degrees C, one below normal. Amritsar recorded a high of 38.5 degrees C.
Chandigarh recorded a high of 36.5 degrees C, one degree below normal.
According to a forecast of MeT office, light to moderate rains or thundershowers may occur at isolated places in the two states during the next two days.
