Superstar Shah Rukh Khan expressed concern over the Chennai floods, which have brought the city to a stand still.
The 50-year-old actor "Chennai Express" star said he is praying for residents' safety.
"May God look after all our brothers and sisters in Chennai. Nature's fury is strong may we all have the strength to fight it. Insha Allah," Shah Rukh posted on Twitter.
Life has come to a grinding halt in Chennai and its suburbs following the unprecedented deluge, with scores of stranded citizens making their way through waist-deep water with all modes of transport and communication falling prey to the rain fury.
