According to the police, the incident took place yesterday when a man identified as Mahipal (40) visited the school for an inspection. He was arrested soon after the incident.
After completing the inspection of the school, he visited a room where some furniture was burnt, police said, adding he questioned the woman principal regarding the burnt furniture and also the cause behind it.
Mahipal allegedly touched the woman in an inappropriate manner. When the woman objected to his behaviour, he asked her to calm down and demanded a sexual favour from her, police said.
"A case under sections 354 (molestation)/354A (sexual harassment) and 341 (wrongful restrain) of the IPC has been registered at Nihal Vihar Police Station. The accused was arrested soon after the incident", Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Ranvir Singh said.
