The Human Resource head of the media house was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to a private hospital where his condition was stated to be serious, police said.
According to a complaint lodged by Anuj Kumar Chauhan, an HR section employee of Hindi daily 'Hindustan', motorcycles of two persons collided leading to an altercation during which the local corporator's associates assaulted him.
When the security guards and other staff of media house attempted to intervene, trouble makers allegedly attacked the office and indulged in brick batting.
A case has been lodged at Vibhuti Khand police station here in this connection.
A counter case has been lodged by the other side.
