Medium sugar declines on weak demand

Medium sugar prices declined at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to poor stockist selling amidst weak demand from retailers.
Small sugar ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,192/3,311 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,202/3,311.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,066/3,145 (Rs 3,066/3,145).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,311 (Rs 3,202/3,311).
