Medium sugar drops on stockists selling, poor demand

Medium sugar prices dropped further at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to sustained unwinding from stockists and traders amid higher selling by mills.
While, small sugar variety displayed a mixed pattern of trading owing to uneven demand and supply transactions.
Medium sugar (M-30) slumped by Rs 60/30 per quintal to Rs 2,842/3,012 from Monday's closing level of Rs 2,902/3,042.
Small Sugar (S-30), however was quoted at Rs 2,762/ 2,875 per quintal as compared with Rs 2,736/2,890 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,842/3,012 (Rs 2,902/3,042).

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,762/2,875 (Rs 2,736/2,890.
