Mehta elected unopposed as GUJFED chairman

Senior cooperative leaders from Rajkot Jyotidnra Mehta and Dolarbhai Kotecha were today elected unopposed as the chairman and vice-chairman of the Gujarat Urban Cooperative Banks Federation (GUJFED).

"The federation's board of directors meeting was held in Ahmedabad today, where Jyotindra Mehta was elected as chairman and Dolarbhai Kotecha as vice chairman unopposed of GUJFED," the GUJFED said in a release.

Mehta has been holding the post since 2006 while Kotecha since 2009," it said.

Mehta has been active in cooperative sector since over the last three decades and was honoured with "Sahakarita Ratna" award a couple of months back, it added.
