The 58-year-old actor is alleged to be seeking more custody of his four-year-old daughter Lucia, he shares with the Russian pianist, who he pays USD 20,000 a month in child support, reported Radar online.
Gibson's move follows an incident involving law enforcement and Grigorieva's eldest son with ex-Bond star Timothy Dalton.
"Oksana is terrified that Mel is going to go to court and ask Judge Scott Gordon to give him sole custody of their daughter, Lucia, because of a recent incident. Oksana thinks Mel will try and use this to show the judge that she is an unfit mother," a source said.
The 43-year-old claimed to have USD 48,676 in personal property, but a whopping USD 438,179 in debt; she said she only had USD 10 in cash to her name - but had assets including a USD 5,000 piano from her fleeting music career.
