Menthol strengthens on strong demand
Menthol prices advanced by Rs 5 per kg at the wholesale chemical market in the national capital today due to increased demand from consuming industries.
However, other chemicals held steady in thin trade.
Traders said pick-up in demand from consuming industries against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions, mainly kept menthol prices higher.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and oil prices rose further by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,730, Rs 1,590 and Rs 1,420 per kg, respectively.
