Telangana Chief Secretary S K Joshi today directed officials to make efforts to obtain performance based grants by making a special mention of the government's 'prestigious' programmes in the memorandum to be submitted to the 15th Finance Commission.
These include construction of roads and irrigation projects on a large scale, the 'Mission Bhagiratha' scheme (supplying safe drinking water) and 'Mission Kakatiya' (revival of tanks).
Joshi, who held a meeting with officials of various departments on the matter, asked them to furnish relevant information to the finance department to prepare the memorandum, an official release said.
He said every department should prepare important performance indicators.
Joshi gave directives to the departments on preparing their reports, the release said.
