Chandigarh, which received light rains for the third consecutive day, recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, said the MeT department.
In Haryana, Karnal registered a high of 36 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal, while Ambala's maximum settled at 36.1 degrees Celsius, also one notch below normal. Hisar recorded a high of 39.6 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 30.6 degrees Celsius, eight notches below normal. Ludhiana and Patiala recorded below normal maximum temperatures of 34.5 and 35.9 degrees Celsius respectively.
