Mercury dips further, Mount Abu coldest at 2 degree C

Northerly icy winds continued to sweep most parts of desert state Rajasthan with Mount Abu being the coldest place with a minimum temperature of 2 degrees Celsius.
Mercury plummeted further by one to four degrees Celsius at many places in Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Churu and Ganganagar districts, MeT office said today.
In plains, Churu was the coldest place with 4.8 degrees C followed by Srigangangar at 5.9 deg C, Pilani at 6.6 deg C, Jaipur and Chittorgarh recorded an identical minimum of 7.4 deg C each, Udaipur 7.7 deg C, Bikaner 9.5 deg C, and Ajmer 9.7 degrees C.
