Mercury dips in Rajasthan, Mount Abu coldest

Temperatures fell in various parts of Rajasthan under the influence of northerly winds and Mount Abu was recorded coldest place in the state, where mercury settled at 4.4 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said today.
Udaipur recorded a minimum of 9 degrees, whereas Churu and Sriganganagar recorded 9.7 degrees Celsius each, a MeT officer said.
The night temperature varied between 10 and 14 degrees at many places including Jaipur, Ajmer, Pilani, Kota, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner districts, he said.
No major change in the existing climatic condition is expected in the next 24 hours in the state, the MeT forecast said.
