Mercury dips to 5 deg C in Delhi

Delhiites woke up to a chilly morning today with the minimum temperature dropping to 5 degrees Celsius, three notches below the normal of the season.
The fog in the morning was moderate with visibility recorded at 400 m at the Safdarjung station, a MeT Department official said.
The humidity level was recorded at 94 per cent at 8.30 am in the morning, he said.
Forecast for the day is mainly clear sky and maximum temperature reaching up to 20 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature yesterday was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature had settled at 21 degrees Celsius.
