A suicide attempt by a man at Girish Park metro station affected the underground train services for 40 minutes today, a Metro spokesperson said here.
The unidentified man allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping on the tracks at Girish Park when a train entered the station in the up-line.
The injured man was lifted and taken to a hospital for treatment, a police officer said.
Owing to the incident, metro services were affected from 3.33 pm to 4.13 pm, the Metro spokesperson said.
Truncated services were maintained during the period between Maidan and Kavi Subhash stations in the southern part of the city.
