Michael Che to host SNL Weekend Update

Michael Che has replaced Cecily Strong as the host of the Weekend Update segment of 'Saturday Night Live'.
Che will share anchor duties with Colin Jost, who joined the desk opposite Strong around half way through the last season, reported New York Times.
Meanwhile, Strong will continue to work with SNL on a full-time basis.
SNL creator Lorne Michaels said, "This is about a new era, what feels appropriate for now. That's why we did a lot of combinations and tests, and this is kind of where we came out."
The new season of SNL returns of September 27.
