They can dial '000' on 'Micro Rise Up' to get instant help

Micro Technologies (India) Ltd along with the Maharashtra police has launched a mobile application ‘Micro Rise Up’—specially designed to alert close ones, when a person is in an emergency situation.
The product is being offered with a free subscription to all the users as of now.
'Micro Rise Up' will be a location based application which will help women or elderly persons to get instant help for protecting themselves.
The application is available free of cost.
When the user dials “000”, recipients will get an 'SMS' alert with GPS location information enabled with defined map integration with the URL. User can add two recipients’ mobile numbers in phone or choose more contacts from their phone book.
It will also enable women to protect themselves from potential assault or violence by getting immediate help or assistance in case of any emergency.
Ajay Shitole from Micro Technologies says, “This is a ready-to-use an effective solution to safeguard women and will provide people the much needed security in emergency.”
The application will be compatible with smart phones running on Android and Blackberry.
