Middle-aged woman alleges rape by property dealer

A 40-year-old woman has alleged that she was blackmailed and raped by a property dealer since 2008 after he fraudulently changed her property documents in Khori-Ropar village near here, the police said today.
The accused, Pooran Meena (45), was already sent to judicial custody a few days back in another fraud-related case, SHO of Khonagorian Police station Harji Lal said.
According to the FIR, the woman claimed that her husband had died of shock after coming to know about Pooran's activities in 2008, following which her father-in law also died four years later fighting for their property papers.
She alleged that the accused blackmailed her since her husband's demise.

The FIR was lodged after a court's order on her Istgasa (complaint), the SHO said.
The woman got agitated after the accused tried to abuse her teenage daughter on the pretext that he would return their property papers.
She first tried to lodge an FIR with the police but it was not registered, following which she moved to the court with the Istgasa on June 2, and the court directed the police to register a case.
A case under section 376 was registered against the accused for rape, they said.
