Former American boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is scheduled to meet Kumite 1 League fighters Friday evening while on his maiden visit to India.
Tyson (52) is arriving in Mumbai early morning Friday.
He is scheduled to attend the first fight night of the Kumite 1 League, to be held here at the NSCI in Worli on September 29.
According to the organisers, the league is supported by the All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF) and World Kickboxing Federation.
"Tyson is excited (about the league) and he will be arriving here tomorrow morning. He is scheduled to meet the fighters in the evening and talk to media," League founder Mohamedali Budhwani told reporters here.
The fighters from team India and team United Arab Emirates (UAE), who are scheduled to take part in the first fight on Saturday, were introduced to the media Thursday.
The lone woman fighter in the Indian team, Priyanka Jeet Joshi (27) will take on Fatemah Moselemi of the team UAE.
Budhwani had earlier claimed that the league is a world cup of MMA and is being initiated by India.
