Militant killed in south Kashmir

An unidentified militant was killed in a gunbattle tonight with security forces in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.
Militants opened fire at a security force vehicle in Neloora area of Pulwama, 35 kms from here, police sources said.
Two policemen of the Special Operations Group were injured in the gunbattle, the sources said, adding that the militants then fled to a nearby village.
A fresh gunbattle erupted between the two sides after additional forces cordoned the area, resulting in the killing of the unidentified militant, the sources said.
The encounter was on when reports last came in.
